Planning your dream honeymoon? Look no further than Jackson Hole, Wyoming! With its breathtaking views, charming town square, and world-class spas, Jackson Hole is the perfect destination for a romantic getaway with the love of your life. As we said in this blog, if your vibe is a western hallmark movie, Jackson Hole is the place for you.

As always, we got you! Use our complete 7-day itinerary to take the stress out of honeymoon planning and make the most of your summer Jackson Hole honeymoon. Before we dive in, we’ve compiled a list of our favorite Jackson Hole accommodations:

    1. Rustic Inn Creekside Resort & Spa – Ranked as one of the top five resorts in Wyoming, this resort offers everything you need for a luxurious stay for a great price. And, it’s within walking distance to downtown.
    2. Outpost One Town Hill – You can’t beat the location of this place! We stayed here in a similar 3 bedroom suite and walked 10 minutes to downtown each morning.
    3. The Cloudveil – This hotel is a great option if you’re looking for luxury right in the heart of downtown.

Day 1

  • Arrive at Jackson Hole Airport (7 miles north of downtown), pick up your rental car, and head to your accommodations.
  • Drop off your bags (or check in early if permitted) and head to downtown Jackson Hole for lunch at Jackson Drug.
  • After lunch, walk the streets of downtown and soak up the view from a bench in Town Square (right across from Jackson Drug).
  • Head back to your accommodations to unpack and freshen up before dinner at The Kitchen, a cozy restaurant with an Asian-inspired menu.
  • Enjoy a nightcap at The Bistro at The Cloudveil.

Day 2

  • Enjoy coffee and pastries from the Cowboy Coffee Co patio (and ensure your bear spray is in your bag for the day ahead).
  • Drive 30 miles North to Oxbow Bend in the Grand Teton National Park for wildlife watching and an unforgettable view of Mt. Moran’s reflection in Snake River!
  • From there, head South to Jenny Lake and find parking at the Jenny Lake Visitor Center (Jenny Lake is a fan favorite in the park, so parking can be a doozy.)
  • Take the 10 minute ferry ride across the lake ($20 per person). Once you hop off, hike to Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point (1 mile from the boat dock) for breathtaking views. Complete the loop back to the boat dock, and enjoy views of Jenny Lake as you wait in line to catch the returning ferry.
  • Stop at Dornan’s Pizza & Pasta Company for a late lunch on your way back to Jackson Hole.
  • Freshen up, recharge, and enjoy your accommodations until dinner at The Blue Lion, a charming fine dining spot a few blocks from Town Square.

Day 3

  • Head to the iconic Persephone Bakery for coffee and breakfast.
  • Spend the day at a world-class spa like Amangani or The Spa at Four Seasons. Both resorts have incredible lunch spots, too.
  • Once you make your way back into downtown Jackson Hole, take the 10-minute gondola ride at Snow King Mountain for some of the best views of Jackson Hole and the Tetons. (We purchased our tickets on site and didn’t have any issues.)
  • Freshen up and enjoy dinner and a show at Jackson Hole Playhouse.
  • Afterwards, enjoy music and drinks while sitting in saddle bar stools at Million Dollar Cowboy Bar.

Day 4

  • Start the morning at The Bunnery for a simple but delicious breakfast.
  • Spend an hour or two exploring the shops in downtown Jackson Hole and stop by the brick-and-mortar Kemo Sabe store for custom hats.
  • Drive 12 miles north to Teton Village and sit down for lunch at Alpenhof Lodge.
  • Take the Jackson Hole Aerial Tram to the top of Rendezvous Mountain for incredible views and waffles from Corbet’s Cabin. You can’t beat a post-lunch waffle at 10,450 feet!
  • After waffles, get your steps in by playing a game of disc golf. The course is completely free and offers stunning views. If disc golf isn’t your thing, check out one of these hikes.
  • Next, explore the shops in Teton Village like Rodeo, Jackson Hole General Store, The Lodge Store, and Stio.
  • Head back to your accommodations and get ready for an Italian dinner and drinks at Glorietta Trattoria.

Day 5

  • Grab a to-go coffee from Cowboy Coffee Co (we promise it’s so good that you’ll want to go twice).
  • Drive 19 miles south to Willow Creek Horseback Rides and enjoy the two and a half hour breakfast horseback ride through the Bridger Teton National Forest. You’ll need to book the experience in advance and it costs $295 per person, but it’s totally worth it.
  • On your way to your next destination (Astoria Hot Springs), make a pit stop at the only restaurant on the way, Buffalo Bills Food Truck and Catering. Their Google Reviews speak for themselves.
  • Next, enjoy access to four mineral-rich hot springs pools and a cold plunge at Astoria Hot Springs.
  • Head back to your accommodations and enjoy room service and a night in (if that’s not your style, check out Bin22 for cocktails and small plates).

Day 6

  • Grab coffee and a bagel from Pearl Street Bagels and head to The Spa at Rustic Inn for a couples massage and relaxing day at the spa. Afterwards, cozy up and enjoy the ambiance at the resort restaurant.
  • Put on your cowboy hats and head to the Jackson Hole Rodeo, hosted at 8pm every Friday night in July and August. We purchased our tickets online the day prior! You can eat there or opt for late night room service after.

Day 7

  • Spend your last morning in Jackson Hole dining on the patio at Cafe Genevieve.
  • If you have time, pop back in your favorite downtown shops and say goodbye to the prairie dogs and famous elk antler arches in Town Square.
  • Head to the Jackson Hole Airport, return your rental car, and head home with a full heart!

A few things to remember:

  • Our itinerary is designed for a summer trip, but you can certainly use and adapt it for other seasons.
  • In summer months, you can expect low temperatures in the mornings and evenings (40s) and warm temperatures during the day (70s-low 80s).
  • Although our itinerary does not include skiing, there are three great ski resorts you can check out if you plan on hitting the slopes (the best time to ski in Jackson Hole is December-March.)
  • We didn’t include the famous National Elk Refuge in our itinerary because elk begin migrating off the Refuge in late Spring and are rarely spotted in the summer.
  • There are so many fun things to do near Jackson Hole, and a few things didn’t make our itinerary. Consider taking a roadtrip to Yellowstone National Park, spending an afternoon at the Jackson Hole Winery, or whitewater rafting on Snake River.
